CALL FOR PROPOSALS
Deadline for submissions: March 03, 2008
Hands-on Workshop Presentations
Proposals are sought for workshop presentations on
engineering for K-12 teachers and engineering educators
who work in K-12 outreach. Workshops should feature
hands-on, classroom activities; provide take-home or
classroom-ready materials for participants to use in
their own teaching; and be designed to engage participants
in interactive exercises. Workshops that offer tangible
material to attendees, in addition to written material,
are specifically solicited. Proposers should specify
workshop length, audio-visual or room arrangement requests,
take-home material, and each presenter’s position/experience.
A registration fee will be required of all presenters
and attendees.
Workshop details:
Variable session lengths:
75 minutes
150 minutes (presented in two 75-minute
blocks)
Participants: Maximum 25
Seating: Classroom or theater
Standards:
Activities should be linked to at least one (1) of

Proposals will be evaluated by the K-12 Workshop Program
Committee, and proposers will be contacted by email
as soon as a decision is reached.
